This is an exercise book, with lined blank spaces meant to be written in and worked with. The subtitle (A Teen's Guide to Magick and Life) is a little misleading, as the book is much more about personal empowerment and feminine spirituality than actual magick. I'd say most of the information is geared towards exploring your inner self and determining who you are.

Several topics, such as Indigo Children and ley lines are purely New Age and a little outside the realm of "Pagan". Overall, it is a varied and interesting mix of magickal and spiritual topics.

I liked some of the little quizzes to help the reader identify different aspects of themselves, like which element you most connect with. Most of the entries are quite short and offer only an introduction to the various topics.

Some of the material is a little trivial and the potions are mostly beauty products, but then again most magickal teen books lean that way. Overall, a decent introduction to personal spirituality for young women.
